Can you remove copper push fit fittings?
All you do is hook it over the pipe just next to the coupling and then rotate it while pulling. The pulling unlocks the tiny steel teeth from the copper pipe and the rotating ensures that all teeth all round the pipe are released.

Do you remove the plastic insert for SharkBite fittings?
If you do decide to remove the pex tube liner, be careful when removing. You do not want to damage the teeth inside the SharkBite fitting. This is the reason why we decided to leave the plastic pex tube liner in when installing SharkBite fittings and connectors on copper pipe. We do not remove them.
Do push fit fittings leak?
